Deep-tech innovator Optimized Electrotech Pvt Ltd (OEPL) has raised $6 million in Series A funding, led by Blume Ventures and Mela Ventures, with additional backing from 9Unicorns, Rajiv Dadlani Group, Venture Catalysts, and Co-founder Sandeep Shah himself.
Founded in 2017 by Sandeep Shah and Dharin Shah, OEPL is transforming the defense and aerospace landscape with its AI-enabled electro-optic surveillance systems capable of operating across the full electromagnetic spectrum.
The newly raised capital will be used to develop next-generation imaging payloads for autonomous ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance) missions and high-speed imaging for space-based applications. As the demand for cutting-edge defense tech grows, OEPL is also eyeing broader market expansion.
“The future of warfare lies in machines, intelligence, and faster decision-making,” said Sandeep Shah, Founder & MD of OEPL.
Backing this vision, Arpit Agarwal of Blume Ventures shared, “We’re thrilled to support OEPL as they redefine surveillance tech and contribute to India’s goal of strategic self-reliance.”
With four patents, the ADITI award, and multiple IDEX Challenge wins under its belt, OEPL is fast becoming a force in India’s defense-tech ecosystem — where intelligence, innovation, and national security intersect.
