Dubai Chamber Expands to Bengaluru, Boosting India-UAE Startup and Tech Ties

The Dubai Chamber of Commerce has inaugurated its second India office in Bengaluru, reinforcing the UAE’s commitment to strengthening trade and innovation links with India. The announcement was made during the visit of HH Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, and was graced by India’s Commerce and Industry Minister, Shri Piyush Goyal.

This strategic move underscores a shared focus on emerging sectors such as clean energy, advanced technology, and startup ecosystems.

“Making Bengaluru the 34th global hub for DCC is a major leap,” said actor-entrepreneur Dr. Vivek Anand Oberoi. He also revealed a collaboration with an Indian AI firm that’s expanding to the UAE, helping integrate AI into enterprise tools like Salesforce and SAP.

Chandrashekhar Bhatia, Chairman of GBF Middle East, highlighted the new office as a symbol of deepening trust and partnership between the two countries.

Lakshmanan R from MCA pointed out that India’s fintech surge is playing a pivotal role in the digital transformation of the Middle East, with startups like Gurugram-based Febi.ai leading the way. “This is just the beginning of many India-UAE tech collaborations,” he noted.

In Q1 2025 alone, over 4,500 new Indian companies were registered in Dubai. With non-oil bilateral trade reaching AED 142 billion in 2024, the momentum is unmistakable.

“Bengaluru is an obvious choice—it’s the core of India’s digital innovation,” said Dr. (CA) Sahitya K. Chaturvedi from IBPC Dubai.

This expansion not only marks a milestone in bilateral relations but also opens fresh doors for startups from both nations to scale globally.
