Bengaluru-based HR tech startup Expertia AI has raised ₹20 crore in a pre-Series A funding round led by Rockstud Capital, with participation from Flipkart and existing investors Endiya Partners and Chiratae Ventures. This follows an earlier ₹9 crore investment in 2021 from its existing backers.
The company plans to utilize the fresh capital to enhance product development and expand its technology team, according to its press release.
Founded in 2021 by Kanishk Shukla and Akshay Gugnani, Expertia AI offers an AI-powered recruitment platform that streamlines talent discovery, screening, and hiring across more than 35 job platforms. The company leverages deep learning algorithms and natural language processing (NLP) to match candidates based on skills rather than traditional resumes.
With a user base of over 18,000 companies, including Reliance Retail and Jio, Expertia claims its agentic AI helps recruiters fill positions 80% faster than conventional methods. The startup has processed over 25 million applications and aims for 3x revenue growth in FY25.
With the HR tech market projected to double to $81.8 billion by 2032, Expertia AI is positioning itself as a key player in the industry’s transformation.
