Logistics unicorn Shiprocket has extended its same-day delivery service to Bengaluru, further cementing its position in the fast-growing instant delivery sector. This service was previously available in Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Kolkata, and Hyderabad.
Empowering MSMEs with Faster Deliveries
With this expansion, Shiprocket aims to help MSMEs compete with larger e-commerce brands that benefit from rapid deliveries and increased customer retention.
How the Same-Day Delivery Works
Orders collected between 12 PM – 1 PM from a seller’s location will be delivered on the same day.
Orders picked up by 3 PM will also reach customers on the same day, with Pico Xpress serving as the courier partner in Bengaluru.
“This initiative aligns with our mission to make e-commerce technology accessible to every seller in India while contributing to the country’s digital transformation,” said Saahil Goel, CEO & MD of Shiprocket.
Growth, Fresh Funding & IPO Ambitions
Currently valued at $1.2 billion, Shiprocket is securing a fresh investment of INR 219 Cr (~$26 Mn), led by KDT Ventures.
The company recently rebranded as Shiprocket Limited, a move that reflects its IPO aspirations for the upcoming fiscal year.
Diversification: Beyond Logistics
Expanding beyond logistics, Shiprocket introduced Zop, a D2C marketplace that hosts 200-300 brands across fashion, beauty, and electronics. Additionally, it is collaborating with the Indian government to develop e-commerce export hubs (EEHs), streamlining customs and security clearances.
India’s Instant Delivery Boom
As quick commerce continues to surge, with players like Zepto, Swiggy Instamart, and Blinkit leading the space, logistics startups such as Delhivery and Blitz are also ramping up their rapid delivery operations.
With its same-day delivery expansion, Shiprocket is well-positioned to capitalize on India’s growing demand for instant logistics solutions.
