
Santa Clara-based Nexthop AI, a leader in AI infrastructure, has raised $110 million in a funding round led by Lightspeed Venture Partners, with backing from Kleiner Perkins, WestBridge Capital, Battery Ventures, and Emergent Ventures. The investment will accelerate the company’s mission to develop custom networking solutions designed for hyperscale cloud environments, catering to the increasing demands of AI workloads.
“The world’s largest cloud providers require better networking capabilities to handle AI-driven workloads,” said Guru Chahal, Partner at Lightspeed Venture Partners. He highlighted Nexthop AI’s role in addressing this $35 billion market by offering high-performance, scalable networking solutions.
With expertise spanning hardware, software, photonics, and network architecture, Nexthop AI seamlessly integrates with open-source systems like SONIC, enabling more efficient AI infrastructure. Anshul Sadana, CEO of Nexthop AI, emphasized their collaborative approach, positioning the company as an extension of cloud providers’ engineering teams to deliver cost-effective and power-efficient AI solutions.
With headquarters in Santa Clara, California, and offices in Seattle, Vancouver, and Bengaluru, Nexthop AI is expanding its global footprint, strengthening its position in the fast-growing AI networking industry.
